What makes our home A Place to Land?

We’re a family who takes hospitality to heart; for our friends, our neighbors, and the creatures who share this world with us. We strive to connect with the natural world and use that connection as a foundation to build community with the people around us. This site is a way to share our efforts with others in the hopes they will be inspired to see how generosity makes abundance in their own lives.

We have lived together as a family since 2020; Cee and Em have been friends since elementary school, and together they moved in with Alex in 2020. In 2022, we bought our home together in Eastern Henrico, VA. When we bought our house, we knew we wanted to be a place to land for anyone who needed us; not just friends and family, but the birds and bugs and critters, too. We have been gradually wilding our yard with native plants; we have had much trial and error in our vegetable gardens too. We love to feed a crowd, and Cee loves to make things, mostly out of strings in various forms.

We are so grateful for things we create; the flowers, the vegetables, the crafts; and we want to share that in any way we can. This website is a place for us (mostly Cee) to share about how, what, and why we create in the hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
